Caroline Stansen
Caroline completed a Masters in Clinical Psychology and has experience working with a variety of presenting issues across the public sector.
Caroline has a history of working with children, adolescents, and families affected by psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, school refusal, grief, trauma, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), eating disorders, personality disorders, relationship issues, gender dysphoria, adjustment difficulties, self-harm and difficulties with emotion regulation.
Caroline takes a flexible and integrative approach to therapy, drawing on several therapeutic models including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Family Therapy, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, non-directive Play Therapy, and Child Focused Parent Work.
Caroline’s approach is person-centred and believes in working collaboratively with children and their families to empower them. She believes in creating a safe and warm space where clients can explore their difficulties and develop strategies to enhance coping and move towards meaningful change.
