Dr Heather McCormack
Heather is both a Clinical and Counselling psychologist who works with individuals (from young adults to seniors), couples and groups. She established Wattletree Psychology in 2001 after having worked in hospitals, universities and as a sole private practitioner.
She has extensive experience in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, sleeping difficulties, adjustment and developmental issues, perinatal mental health, relationship problems, pain management and chronic health problems.
In her work she draws from a number of therapeutic frameworks including CBT, Schema Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Relaxation Therapy and Hypnotherapy to address the individual needs of her clients. She also uses the knowledge provided by the developing field of neuro-psychotherapy to enhance her work. However, above all else, Heather believes that the relationship that she develops with her clients is the most powerful tool for facilitating their psychological growth.
Heather is a registered provider with Medicare, Private Health Insurers, TAC, WorkCover and Comcare.
